Landon Dickerson played through a knee injury in Super Bowl LIX, but now that the celebrations are winding down, the Eagles’ standout lineman is finally getting it checked out. He admitted he’s not entirely sure what’s wrong, comparing it to taking a car to the mechanic and waiting for a diagnosis. After stepping in at center for the NFC Championship, he returned to left guard for the Super Bowl, helping the Eagles dominate the Chiefs and secure a 40-22 victory.
Dickerson and the offensive line played a key role in the team’s success, clearing the way for Saquon Barkley’s historic postseason and giving Jalen Hurts time to operate. Their efforts didn’t go unnoticed, as they joined Barkley and Hurts for a celebratory appearance on “The Tonight Show,” where they shotgunned beers with Jimmy Fallon. Dickerson joked that Hurts interfered with his attempt, calling for a video review of the moment.
The lineman also reflected on the overwhelming amount of confetti that rained down after the win, saying it just kept coming long after the game ended. Now, in addition to getting his knee sorted out, he plans to stay busy with home renovations, tackling everything from a gutted basement to a new mudroom.
