Elmo’s X Account Hacked, Posts Shocking Tweets Targeting Trump and Jews
Yep, you read that right Elmo’s actual X (formerly Twitter) account got hacked on July 13, 2025, and the hacker didn’t hold back. The account suddenly started posting some seriously disturbing content, including antisemitic slurs and a bizarre demand for former President Donald Trump to “release the Epstein files.”
One of the tweets even called Trump “Netanyahu’s puppet” and claimed he was hiding the files because he’s allegedly in them. The now-deleted posts included hateful and violent language aimed at Jewish people, and called Trump a “child f\\ker.” Screenshots of the tweets quickly started circulating online after being shared by other accounts, including @nojumper.
For anyone not familiar, the “Epstein files” supposedly contain names of high-profile individuals who attended parties hosted by Jeffrey Epstein the convicted sex offender who died in 2019 where underage girls were reportedly assaulted. The files are a hot topic for conspiracy theories and controversy, and they keep coming up in political conversations.
Sesame Workshop, the organization behind Sesame Street, released a statement confirming Elmo’s account was hacked. They called the tweets “disgusting” and said they’re working to regain control of the account.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump hasn’t responded directly to the Elmo incident, but earlier that same day, he went on a rant on Truth Social. He complained about people constantly bringing up Epstein and the files, and defended Attorney General Pam Bondi, who’s apparently been catching heat over the issue. Trump said the obsession with Epstein is a distraction and called the criticism an attack on his administration.
This isn’t the first time Trump’s been asked about the files just a few days earlier, during a cabinet meeting, he lashed out at a reporter who brought up Epstein, telling them they were wasting everyone’s time.
So far, Trump hasn’t commented on the Elmo hack, but let’s be honest this is not the kind of Sesame Street crossover anyone was expecting.
