ESPN Mock Draft: Giants Add Buckeye Talent to Aid Shedeur Sanders

The New York Giants have been making moves this offseason, and their quarterback situation is still up in the air. Even after signing veteran Russell Wilson, rumors are swirling that they could still target Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders in the upcoming NFL Draft.

NFL insider Matt Miller’s latest mock draft has the Giants selecting Sanders in the first round. But that’s not all—Miller also predicts New York will grab Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka in the second round to give their new QB (whoever that may be) a reliable weapon.

“The Giants already have Malik Nabers, but they need more guys who can make plays,” Miller said. “Egbuka is great on short and intermediate routes, he’s tough to knock off his path, and he’s got enough speed to break away once the ball is in his hands. Plus, he’s one of the best blocking receivers in the draft.”

If the Giants do take Egbuka, he’ll be a valuable target for Wilson, Jameis Winston, Sanders, or whoever ends up under center for New York next season.

QB Dilemma Continues for the Giants

The Giants have been searching for a long-term quarterback for a while now. Daniel Jones looked like he might be the guy after leading them to the playoffs in 2022, but things fell apart, and they cut him loose in 2024.

Now, they have Wilson and Winston on the roster, but neither is guaranteed to be the long-term answer. If they draft Sanders, it could shake up the entire QB room. One thing’s for sure—Giants fans will be keeping a close eye on what happens in the draft.
