Could the Lions Trade Hendon Hooker? ESPN Analyst Thinks So
Hendon Hooker’s time in Detroit may be nearing its end. After two seasons as the Lions’ No. 3 quarterback, ESPN’s Tim Hasselbeck believes a trade makes sense—especially with the NFL Draft approaching.
Hooker, a 2023 third-round pick, still has one year left on his rookie contract but has yet to break through as Jared Goff’s backup. The New York Jets, who could be moving on from Aaron Rodgers, might be a potential landing spot, given Hooker’s connection with new head coach Aaron Glenn.
While it’s unlikely Hooker would be the Jets’ first choice, a trade could give him a fresh start and a shot at playing time. Should the Lions cash in while they can?
