Kerby Joseph Snubbed from Pro Bowl Despite Leading the League in Interceptions
Yo, Lions fans, get ready to roll your eyes so hard they might get stuck. The 2025 Pro Bowl roster drops on Thursday, and guess what? Despite being an absolute beast this season, Lions safety Kerby Joseph reportedly won’t be on it. Yeah, you read that right.
The Detroit Free Press spilled the tea, saying Joseph—who leads the entire NFL with nine interceptions—isn’t getting the Pro Bowl nod he clearly deserves. And here’s the kicker: he even got more fan votes than any other free safety! But apparently, fan votes aren’t enough to save the day. The Pro Bowl roster gets decided by a combo of fan votes, player votes, and coaches votes, and it looks like the players and coaches left him hanging.
How does that even happen? This dude has been killing it all year. He’s rocking the highest PFF grade for safeties (90.7) and the best coverage grade for ANY defensive back (91.5). Oh, and let’s not forget his performance Monday night against the 49ers, where he snagged two picks and made some clutch tackles. Even coach Dan Campbell couldn’t stop hyping him up:
“Man, he came up in a big way,” Campbell said. “Not just the picks, but he had some critical tackles in this game and really showed up for us.”
Joseph’s season stats are straight fire: 77 tackles, 12 passes defended, and those nine picks that lead the league. And since joining the NFL in 2022, NO ONE has more interceptions than his 17.
So yeah, the Pro Bowl voters seriously dropped the ball on this one. Joseph even seemed to low-key react to the snub on Twitter last night, and honestly? We feel you, Kerby.
What do y’all think? Another case of the Lions getting no respect, or is there something we’re missing? Let us know in the comments!
