Final Tests Are In”: Aidan Hutchinson Nearing Return to Lions After Rehab

Detroit Lions fans can finally breathe a little easier—Aidan Hutchinson is just about done with his rehab. The star defensive end, who suffered a brutal season-ending leg injury (broken tibia and fibula), gave an encouraging update during an appearance at the Masters golf tournament. He said he’s set for his final round of evaluation tests and expects to be fully cleared once they’re complete.

“It was a long process, I’ll tell you that,” Hutchinson admitted. “But once I knock these tests out of the park, I’ll be done with rehab.”

The injury was serious, and the road back wasn’t easy. Hutchinson reflected on how the experience changed his perspective—going from elite athlete to barely being able to walk was a humbling moment. “Now that I’m running full speed again, you realize how blessed you are to just move without pain.”

With Hutchinson close to 100%, the Lions get one of their cornerstone players back as they gear up for another playoff push. Expectations are high in Detroit, and his return only strengthens a defense looking to take that next step.
