Florida State is making a push to flip one of the top players in the 2027 class. Jabarrius Garror, a four-star defensive end, has been committed to Alabama since last July, but he’s keeping his options open, including considering the Seminoles. He visited Tallahassee for a junior day in January and has scheduled another trip to FSU for the spring.

According to 247Sports, Garror’s busy schedule includes visits to five programs, starting with Florida State on March 22. He’ll also check out Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, and South Carolina. During his last trip to FSU, he had a good conversation with head coach Mike Norvell.

Garror had an incredible sophomore season, totaling 104 tackles, 56 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and five pass deflections. He recorded over 10 tackles in four games, with his best performance coming in a 60-0 blowout against LeFlore High School, where he racked up 14 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and four sacks.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, Garror is ranked as the No. 34 overall prospect, No. 7 EDGE player, and the No. 2 recruit in Alabama for 2027, according to 247Sports.

Florida State’s 2027 class is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation, with one verbal commitment from defensive back Jaylen Scott.

As for the defensive end position in 2025, FSU has a solid group with players like Jaden Jones, Deamontae Diggs, and James Williams, among others.
