Florida Woman Whispers ‘Help Me’ to Amazon Driver Man Arrested
An Amazon delivery driver ended up doing more than just dropping off a package in Florida he helped rescue a woman in serious trouble.
On March 28, around 4:45 p.m., the driver was making a routine delivery when a woman at the door quietly whispered, “Help me.” He immediately called 911.
When a deputy from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office showed up, he found the woman visibly shaken and with red marks on her neck. She was sitting on the front porch next to 43-year-old Frank Mandolini.
According to the woman, she and Mandolini her ex-husband, though they were still living together had gotten into a fight. She accused him of using his phone to talk to other women or watch porn, and things got violent. She says he grabbed her by the neck, dragged her down, and started choking her until she nearly blacked out.
Mandolini admitted to grabbing her neck but claimed he didn’t stop her from breathing. Still, police arrested him and charged him with felony battery by strangulation. A child also lives in the home, so child protective services were notified.
Mandolini, who has a previous domestic violence charge, posted a $30,000 bond on March 31. He’s not allowed to contact the woman and is due in court on June 5.
