But unlike some die-hard Crimson Tide supporters, he doesn’t have his alma mater winning it all. Instead, he predicts Alabama, a No. 2 seed, will lose to No. 1 seed Duke in the Elite Eight. To make things worse for Bama fans, he has their in-state rival, Auburn, making the Final Four as the No. 1 overall seed from the South Region.

Smith’s bracket isn’t just controversial for Alabama fans—some other SEC supporters might not be happy either. He has 11-seed Drake taking down Missouri and Texas Tech to make it to the Sweet 16. But the real shocker? His national champion pick.

Smith is betting on UConn to pull off a historic three-peat, even though they’re only an 8-seed this year. His bracket has them knocking off No. 9 seed Oklahoma, No. 1 Florida, No. 5 Memphis, No. 2 St. John’s, No. 1 Auburn, and No. 1 Duke to claim another championship.
