Former Lions DB Secures 2-Year Deal with Commanders

Former Detroit Lions defensive back Will Harris has landed a two-year, $8 million deal with the Washington Commanders, with incentives that could push it to $10 million. The former third-round pick spent five seasons in Detroit before playing last year with the New Orleans Saints, where he started 13 games before a hamstring injury ended his season.

Harris showed his versatility in New Orleans, playing at slot corner, safety, in the box, and even on the defensive line. Now, he joins a Commanders team looking to rebuild its secondary. Meanwhile, the Lions continue reshaping their own defensive backfield, having signed cornerback D.J. Reed and moved on from Ifeatu Melifonwu.
