Scott Linehan Returns to NFL Coaching With Saints
A familiar face to Detroit Lions fans is making his way back to the NFL. Former Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan has been hired by the New Orleans Saints, joining new head coach Kellen Moore’s staff in an unspecified role, per NewOrleans.football.
Linehan spent five seasons in Detroit under Jim Schwartz, where he helped shape Matthew Stafford’s early career and led a top-five offense in his final three years. He later served as the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive coordinator before spending the last five seasons in college football with LSU, Missouri, and Montana. Now, he’s back in the pros, bringing his experience to a Saints team looking for a fresh start in 2025.
