Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones just hit a personal milestone that goes far beyond football.
On Tuesday, Peoples-Jones announced on social media that he’s officially two years sober from alcohol. He shared the news with followers, posting: “As of today: Officially 2 years sober from alcohol. Kind of strange to say but lol it’s the truth! 1 Peter 5: 8-9.”
Peoples-Jones, who joined the Lions in 2023 after a trade from the Cleveland Browns, played eight games in Detroit. While his time with the team was brief, the bond he built with the city remains — and Lions fans are now celebrating alongside him as he marks this meaningful personal victory.
Congratulations, Donovan. Detroit is proud of you.
