The Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Rams might all be chasing help at the same position before the NFL trade deadline.

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, each of those teams has been active in exploring deals for a cornerback as the Nov. 4 deadline approaches.

> “The Ravens, Colts, Lions and Rams are making calls for a corner,” Russini reported in her latest column on Saturday.

Baltimore and Indianapolis have struggled most in pass coverage this season, ranking 28th and 29th in the league entering Week 8. The Ravens have been hit hard by injuries in the secondary, and Jaire Alexander’s performance has only added to their defensive woes.

The Colts, meanwhile, were left thin at corner when Xavien Howard abruptly retired. While his departure was surprising, his recent play had been below expectations, softening the overall impact of his loss.

The Lions and Rams have handled things better statistically, sitting around the middle of the NFL pack in pass defense. Still, both could use reinforcements. Detroit is battling multiple injuries, with starters Terrion Arnold and D.J. Reed both sidelined, while Los Angeles lost Ahkello Witherspoon to a broken clavicle, leaving a major hole in its lineup.

Given their current positions in the standings, the Lions, Colts, and Rams are likely to be more aggressive buyers than the Ravens, though that could change quickly if Baltimore gains momentum before the deadline.

One thing seems certain: the market for cornerbacks is heating up fast, and with multiple playoff hopefuls in the mix, the next week could get interesting.
