Gearing Up for Glory: Giants’ Top 3 First-Round Fits in 2025 Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft is almost here, and the New York Giants have a lot of options with the No. 3 pick. The team has plenty of holes to fill, so let’s take a look at three players who could be perfect fits for them in Round 1.

Travis Hunter, WR/DB, Colorado
The Giants need help everywhere, and Travis Hunter might be the perfect answer. He’s versatile, playing both wide receiver and cornerback, and many consider him the best overall prospect in this draft. He’d bring some serious playmaking ability to the offense alongside Malik Nabers and could also help out as a lockdown corner when needed. While he’ll probably start out at receiver, no matter where they play him, he’d shine in New York.

Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
This one might not be the fan favorite, but Abdul Carter could be a game-changer. If there’s anyone who can challenge Hunter for the top spot in this draft, it’s Carter. The Giants need a pass rusher, and Carter’s a beast. Adding him could create one of the most dynamic pass-rushing duos in the league.

Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Quarterback is the Giants’ biggest need, and Shedeur Sanders could be a perfect fit. His personality is made for New York, and he’d definitely draw fans and sell jerseys. On the field, he’s got a great arm and is an accurate passer. Even with veteran QBs on the roster, Sanders could make a push for the starting job pretty quickly.
