Georgia WR Tyler Williams to Miss Spring After Ankle Surgery
The Georgia Bulldogs’ wide receiver room took a hit as freshman Tyler Williams confirmed he suffered torn ankle ligaments that require surgery. Williams, a three-star recruit in Georgia’s 2025 class, enrolled early alongside top prospects Talyn Taylor, CJ Wiley, and Landon Roldan. However, this setback means he’ll likely be sidelined for the remainder of spring.
Georgia landed Williams over Miami thanks to his speed and athleticism, which made him a promising addition to the Bulldogs’ offense. While transfers Zachariah Branch (USC) and Noah Thomas (Texas A&M) are expected to lead the receiving corps, head coach Kirby Smart has emphasized the need for freshmen to contribute early. This injury puts Williams behind schedule, but Georgia still sees him as a key piece for the future.
