NFL Schedule Release Day Was Pure Chaos – And the Giants Came to Play
Wednesday turned into the Super Bowl for NFL social media teams – and they did not hold back. The schedule drop gave teams a golden ticket to be petty, hilarious, and even a little savage. And the New York Giants? Oh, they understood the assignment.
They rolled out their schedule with a “Love Island”-themed video, casting people to represent each team – and each came with a side of jokes. The Cowboys were clowned with a washed-up cheerleader. The Chiefs? A Taylor Swift wannabe obsessed with zebras (yeah, the refs – we see you, KC).
But the real spice came when the Giants roasted the Washington Commanders. Their rep? A confused guy who didn’t even know his own name. “You can call me Bob, Robert, Bobby… it’s OK.” Yeah, we all remember the journey from Redskins to Football Team to Commanders – and maybe to something else soon?
Then came the shot at Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels – or more accurately, his mom. “Don’t tell my mom I’m here, OK?” the actor whispered. It’s a cheeky nod to Daniels’ famously protective mother, who’s been by his side on and off the field.
New York will face Washington twice in 2025 – opening the season on the road and seeing them again after their bye. The Commanders swept the Giants last year, but with Jayden Daniels now the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year and Jaxson Dart likely under center for NY, the rematches could be fire.
Either way, the Giants’ upgraded roster – and their shade game – means this year’s matchups should be way more fun to watch.
