The New York Giants were spotted at Louisville’s 2025 Pro Day, keeping an eye on quarterback Tyler Shough as they explore potential future talent.
Still Interested in Shough Despite Signing Wilson?
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reported that the Giants took a close look at Shough, who had a strong 2024 season with Louisville. The 25-year-old threw for 3,195 yards with 23 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions, making him an intriguing prospect.
Even though the Giants just signed Russell Wilson to a one-year deal and already have Jameis Winston under contract, they might still be eyeing a young quarterback for the future Instead of using their No. 3 overall pick on a QB, they could go for a developmental option like Shough later in the draft.
Draft Strategy: Waiting on a QB?
With top prospects like Cam Ward (Miami) and Shedeur Sanders (Colorado) possibly off the board by the time the Giants pick, they could shift their focus to other key positionsearly in the draft. That would leave them looking at a mid to let round quarterback, and Shough could be a name to watch.
While Wilson is set to lead the team for now, the Giants are clearly keeping their options open for the future. Could Shough be part of their long-term plans? We’ll have to wait and see.
