Giants Land Their QB—Russell Wilson Heads to New York!

Russell Wilson is on the move again! The veteran quarterback has agreed to a one-year contract with the New York Giants, worth up to $21 million, with $10.5 million guaranteed. The deal isn’t officially signed yet, but sources confirmed it’s happening.

The Giants have been shaking up their quarterback situation. They signed Jameis Winston last week, released former first-rounder Daniel Jones during the season, and currently hold the No. 3 pick in the upcoming draft. That pick could be used to bring in Shedeur Sanders, who would get time to develop behind Wilson and Winston.

Wilson, a 10-time Pro Bowler, is joining his fourth team in five years. He helped Pittsburgh reach the playoffs last season, but things fell apart after a strong start. Before that, he had two rough seasons in Denver after a legendary run in Seattle, where he won a Super Bowl and came within inches of another.

With Wilson now in New York, the Giants are hoping he can provide stability while they figure out their long-term QB plans. Can he bring some magic back to a franchise that’s missed the playoffs in 11 of the last 13 seasons? We’ll find out soon enough.
