Giants Quietly Targeting Shedeur Sanders—But the League Already Knows

The Giants have been busy fixing their quarterback situation this offseason, signing both Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. Before that, the only QB they had on the roster was Tommy DeVito—so yeah, they needed help.

But they might not be done yet. With the NFL Draft coming up, New York is still eyeing potential future franchise quarterbacks. Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders are among the top prospects, and if one of them is available when the Giants pick at No. 3, they might just take the plunge.

In fact, their interest in Sanders isn’t exactly a well-kept secret. One scout told ESPN’s Matt Miller, “New York loving Shedeur is the worst-kept secret in the league right now.”

Sanders had a solid college career, going 13-11 at Colorado while throwing for 7,364 yards, 64 touchdowns, and just 13 interceptions. He also completed 71.8% of his passes—pretty impressive numbers.

With Wilson and Winston on short-term deals, the Giants still don’t have a long-term answer at QB. Could Sanders be the guy? We’ll find out soon enough when the draft kicks off on April 24.
