Ryan Grubb has been officially hired as the next Alabama offensive coordinator. Grubb has a long history with Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer, having worked together at Sioux Falls, Eastern Michigan, Fresno State, and Washington.
Grubb brings over 10 years of experience as an offensive coordinator to the Crimson Tide. His most recent stint was with the Seattle Seahawks, where he served as the team’s offensive coordinator for the 2024-25 season.
Under Grubb’s guidance, the Seahawks ranked fifth in the NFL for passing yards. Quarterback Geno Smith set career-high marks for yards, completions, and completion percentage.
DeBoer expressed his excitement about Grubb’s return, stating that he’s “one of the best offensive minds in the country.” Grubb is eager to work with DeBoer again and be part of an offensive staff he’s familiar with.
Grubb is confident that the team will be able to put themselves in the best position to win each time out. This hire is expected to bring a significant boost to Alabama’s offense, which had an underwhelming season in 2024.
