Could Haason Reddick Be a Fit for the Lions?
With Myles Garrett off the market, the Detroit Lions may still look to upgrade their pass rush in free agency. One potential target? Haason Reddick, a former Philadelphia Eagles star who struggled with the New York Jets last season.
Despite recording just one sack in 10 games with the Jets, Reddick had a dominant stretch from 2020-2023, tallying 50.5 sacks in that span. At 30 years old, there’s reason to believe he could bounce back in the right system, and Sports Illustrated has listed him as a “good fit” for Detroit.
The Lions recently re-signed Marcus Davenport and still have Za’Darius Smith, but with Aidan Hutchinson and Alim McNeill coming off injuries, adding a proven veteran like Reddick could provide much-needed depth. His expected market value? A one-year deal worth around $11 million.
Would the Lions take a chance on Reddick? Brad Holmes has never shied away from adding competition at every position, so it’s something to watch as free agency unfolds.
