Warner Bros. hints at a major reveal as fans rally behind Josh Allen and the Bills.
A High-Stakes Showdown in the AFC Championship
On January 26, the Buffalo Bills face the Kansas City Chiefs in the highly anticipated AFC Championship Game. This marks the fourth playoff meeting between Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Chiefs counterpart Patrick Mahomes. Despite Buffalo’s determined efforts, Kansas City holds a commanding 3-0 record against the Bills in the postseason. With home-field advantage at Arrowhead Stadium, oddsmakers have named the Chiefs as slight favorites.
However, Josh Allen is confident in the power of “Bills Mafia” to make their presence felt. “We’ve gone on the road, we’ve played at home, our fans travel everywhere and anywhere that we play,” Allen said. “We’ve got the best fans in the NFL and just love… I think that the connection with our fan base is unique in the NFL.”
Hailee Steinfeld and ‘Sinners’ Take the Spotlight
Fans of the Bills are also eager to spot Allen’s fiancée, Oscar-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld, supporting the team on Sunday. While Steinfeld rarely appears on TV during games, her presence may still be felt in another way—on the big screen.
Just hours before kickoff, Warner Bros. shared a cryptic message on social media: “Sinners Are Coming to the Game,” accompanied by an image of red and yellow seats. Though the clip seemingly referenced Arrowhead Stadium, fans speculated it might hint at a trailer release for Steinfeld’s upcoming film, Sinners.
The movie, written and directed by Ryan Coogler, stars Steinfeld alongside Michael B. Jordan. Filmed in New Orleans—the host city for the 2025 Super Bowl—the movie has already garnered excitement. Back in April, Allen was spotted visiting Steinfeld on the set.
Fans Rally for Both the Bills and ‘Sinners’
Social media buzzed with excitement as fans debated the timing of the teaser. Many believe Warner Bros. is saving the full trailer for a Super Bowl release, but for Steinfeld’s supporters, the stakes go beyond the movie.
One fan posted, “Oh now we NEED bills at the sb,” expressing hope for both a Bills win and a Sinners premiere during the big game. Another wrote, “@JoshAlleQB @BuffaloBills get it together tonight and bring us to the super bowl x.”
The Stage Is Set
As the Bills and Chiefs prepare to clash, anticipation builds for not only the game but also the potential reveal of Sinners. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EST on CBS, where fans will tune in to see if Allen and the Bills can break their losing streak against Kansas City—and whether Sinners will make its next move on the cinematic stage.
