Josh Allen & Hailee Steinfeld’s Wedding Had a Buffalo Twist—and It Was Epic
Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld’s wedding was private, phone-free, and full of love—but they couldn’t resist sneaking in a bit of Bills Mafia energy.
Turns out, one of the best moments from the big day involved a song that’s become a tradition for the Buffalo Bills: Mr. Brightside by The Killers. If you’ve been keeping up, that’s the anthem the team has been blasting during second-half timeouts ever since Allen and a few teammates went viral dancing to it last season.
At the wedding, that iconic song made a surprise comeback. Offensive lineman Spencer Brown spilled the tea on a recent podcast, saying Mr. Brightside got its moment once again on the dance floor. No videos are likely to pop up, since the couple kept the event super private, but Brown confirmed: “It was awesome.”
The wedding guest list included several Bills players like Dawson Knox and Dion Dawkins, plus head coach Sean McDermott. So yeah—it was a full-on family affair.
The ceremony itself went down on May 31 in California. After the “I do’s,” the couple jetted off to an undisclosed honeymoon spot, where they snapped some dreamy Polaroids as newlyweds.
In her newsletter, Beau Society, Hailee gave fans a peek behind the curtain. She said Josh was totally stunned when he saw her walking down the aisle in her custom Tamara Ralph gown—strapless, white, with opera gloves and a lace veil. She also loved his look: a sharp black tux that clearly made an impression.
As for the reception? Let’s just say it was lit. Hailee said the dance floor was “literally bowing” from the energy. The band crushed it, and in the final minutes of the night, she and Josh even jumped onstage. In full party mode, Josh quoted The Wolf of Wall Street’s iconic line—“I’m not leaving… I’m not [expletive] leaving!”—before they headed to the after-party.
Josh also reflected on the day after the honeymoon, calling it the most important decision of his life. “She makes everything easier,” he said. “Marrying my best friend—that was the big one.”
Now, after all the wedding buzz, the couple is keeping things chill this summer before Allen reports to training camp. According to Hailee, they’re embracing early dinners and East Coast vibes. “4 p.m. dinner,” she joked. “I kind of love it.”
The Bills kick off their season at home on September 7 against the Ravens—but for now, it’s all love, laughter, and just a little bit of Mr. Brightside magic.
