Hutchinson’s 9-Word Message Reignites Myles Garrett-Lions Speculation

Aidan Hutchinson just dropped a bold statement that could fuel some serious offseason speculation for the Detroit Lions. The star defensive end recently spoke about the possibility of teaming up with Cleveland Browns pass-rusher Myles Garrett—and he didn’t hold back on how lethal that pairing could be.

“If me and Myles were to pair up, that’d be deadly,” Hutchinson said, adding, “I would be thrilled to play next to him.”

Hutchinson made these comments during NFL Honors on Feb. 6, but the footage just resurfaced, stirring up more chatter about Garrett potentially being on the move. The Browns’ defensive cornerstone racked up 14 sacks, three forced fumbles, and 40 solo tackles last season, but rumors have been swirling that Cleveland might be open to dealing him.

Of course, landing Garrett would be a long shot for Detroit, especially with the Washington Commanders now seen as the betting favorites to acquire him. Still, Hutchinson’s words make one thing clear—he’d love to share a defensive line with one of the league’s most dominant pass rushers.

Could the Lions pull off a blockbuster trade? It’s unlikely, but crazier things have happened in the NFL.
