‘I’ll Do It for Free!’ Pete Doherty’s Offer to Tour with Oasis Comes with a Twist

Pete Doherty has humorously offered to join Oasis on their highly anticipated reunion tour this year—for free—if they provide tickets for his in-laws. The 45-year-old musician, best known for his work with Babyshambles, is eager to secure tickets for his wife Katia de Vidas’ French family, who assume his musical fame gives him easy access.

In a playful plea, Pete told The i Paper:

“If Noel or Liam are reading this: maybe a ten-minute acoustic slot? Even before the doors open?”

To keep his in-laws’ expectations in check, Pete jokingly claimed he might have a support slot on the tour, buying himself some time. He even sweetened the deal by promising to perform for just travel expenses, saying:

“I won’t even take a fee!”

Meanwhile, Cast and Richard Ashcroft are officially set to support Oasis during the tour. Cast frontman John Power expressed his excitement, calling Oasis “the voice of a generation” and a band that has provided the soundtrack to many dreams. Richard Ashcroft, of The Verve, shared his admiration for the Gallagher brothers, crediting Oasis classics like Live Forever for inspiring some of his own best songwriting.

With the reunion tour already generating immense buzz, Pete Doherty’s lighthearted proposal adds another layer of excitement to the Oasis comeback. Whether or not he gets his ten-minute slot, it’s clear the anticipation is at an all-time high.
