When Horton entered the transfer portal, Alabama wasted no time reaching out, and for him, it was an easy decision. “It’s Alabama. It’s the standard of college football,” he said in an interview with the Crimson Tide Sports Network. He talked about how everything at Alabama, from training to nutrition, lives up to its legendary reputation.
Horton had a solid season at Miami, hauling in 56 catches for 616 yards and five touchdowns. While he only started six games in three years with the Hurricanes, he’s expected to take on a much bigger role at Alabama, joining forces with Ryan Williams and Germie Bernard.
Fans won’t have to wait long to see him in action—Alabama’s annual A-Day spring game is set for April 12, where Horton will get his first chance to shine in Crimson Tide colors.
