Formby recently talked about their chemistry, saying, “A lot of people don’t realize how long we’ve been playing together. When I first got here, he was already with the second team, so we spent a lot of time working side by side in spring and fall camp. It’s awesome playing next to J-Rob. We’ve got great chemistry, and he brings a ton of energy.”
Roberts is in a strong position to lock down the starting right guard spot this season, while Formby is competing for the starting job at right tackle. In 2024, Roberts started 12 games at right guard, and Formby got two starts at right tackle.
Now, both are grinding hard in the offseason, hoping to become key anchors on Alabama’s offensive line in 2025. If they both land starting spots, their chemistry could be a big boost for the Tide’s offense.
