Jalen Milroe Declares for 2025 NFL Draft After Four Seasons with Alabama
Jalen Milroe is officially heading to the NFL. After spending four seasons with Alabama, the dual-threat quarterback has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. He played three of those seasons under Nick Saban and worked with Kalen DeBoer in his final year.
Milroe was Alabama’s full-time starter in 2024 and the primary starter in 2023. He had some incredible highs—like his unforgettable fourth-and-31 touchdown pass to beat Auburn in the 2023 Iron Bowl and leading the Tide past Georgia in the SEC Championship Game. In 2024, he pulled off another upset against Georgia, this time at Bryant-Denny Stadium. And whenever Alabama faced LSU, he was nearly unstoppable on the ground.
Of course, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Both of Milroe’s seasons as a starter ended with playoff losses to Michigan. This season, Alabama managed just three points in a rough outing against Oklahoma. Turnovers were an issue in some of those tough losses, too.
Still, Milroe was one of the most electric players in college football. His athleticism made him a nightmare for defenses. In 2024, he ran for 20 touchdowns while throwing for 16. The year before, he threw 23 touchdown passes and ran for 12 more.
Now, he’s off to the next level. The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on April 24 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Will Milroe’s dual-threat ability translate to the pros? We’ll find out soon enough.
