Jared Goff Makes Key Fantasy Football List Despite Losing Ben Johnson

Jared Goff’s fantasy football stock is a bit of a rollercoaster heading into 2025, especially with the departure of Ben Johnson, the offensive mastermind behind his career-best seasons. After being tossed aside by the Rams, Goff found new life in Detroit, with Johnson shaping the offense around his strengths. That chemistry was clear: Goff finished as a top-10 fantasy QB for three straight years under Johnson’s guidance, including a career-high QB6 finish in 2024.

But with Johnson now coaching the Bears, things could take a hit for Goff. The Lions brought in John Morton to fill the void, a coach with experience but a less-than-stellar track record—especially when he was with the Jets back in 2017. Goff and the offense now face some serious question marks. While the talent around Goff remains solid, losing Johnson could mean a dip in production, leaving fantasy owners wondering if it’s time to move on from him in drafts. We won’t know for sure until Week 1, but Goff’s fantasy outlook definitely feels a bit more uncertain than it did a year ago.

It’s still Goff’s offense to run, but whether Morton’s style can keep things clicking remains to be seen.
