According to former UCF player and YouTuber Deestroying, Daniels wrote, “Cancun on 3! 1, 2, 3” at the bottom of the jersey. The phrase, a nod to an infamous comment made by NBA legend Nick Van Exel during the 1998 playoffs, humorously referenced the idea that the Lions’ season was effectively over, much like a team heading on vacation.
Daniels, who had a stellar performance in the game with 299 yards and two touchdowns, likely meant the message in good fun, as he and Arnold share a close bond. The two were first-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, and Daniels’ playful trolling was a lighthearted jab between friends.
