The NFL Draft is about a month away, and Joel Klatt is still pushing the idea that Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders will end up in New York. In his latest mock draft, Klatt has Sanders going to the Giants while the Titans land Cam Ward as their next franchise QB.
With the Daniel Jones experiment officially over, the Giants are looking for a fresh start at quarterback, and Sanders could be their guy. He’s got all the tools, and with head coach Brian Daboll’s track record of developing quarterbacks—just look at what he did with Josh Allen—New York could be a great fit. Plus, the team already has some promising young playmakers like Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson.
One thing that stands out, though, is that Klatt no longer sees Sanders as the top QB in this draft class. That’s a bit of a surprise, but it doesn’t change the fact that the Giants could be an ideal landing spot—especially if they can beef up their offensive line.
As draft day gets closer, expect plenty more speculation about where Sanders will end up. One thing’s for sure: the New York Giants are still in the mix.
