Former New York Mets star Jose Reyes is stepping into the style game. He just signed on as the first baseball ambassador for Chamelo Eyewear—the brand co-led by ex-NBA player Stephon Marbury.
Reyes isn’t just lending his name to the label. He’s jumping in to codesign a line of sunglasses, kicking things off with a model called La Melaza #7, dropping May 13. These shades come with Chamelo’s unique dual-tint “Tint-Change Technology” and will go for $249. More styles are set to launch later this year.
Alongside the product, Reyes will be featured in Chamelo’s social media content, photoshoots, and video campaigns.
“I’ve always brought energy and boldness to whatever I do, and Chamelo gets that,” Reyes said. “This partnership just makes sense.”
Marbury added that their shared New York sports background makes the collaboration even more meaningful. And for Chamelo’s CEO, Reid Covington, Reyes is the perfect pick—someone with both style and performance edge.
