Like Never Before”—Trump Threatens Iran with Massive Strikes Over Nuclear Deal

Trump Warns Iran: Strike a Deal or Face Bombing ‘Like Never Before’

Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, saying the country will face unprecedented bombing if it doesn’t agree to a deal to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons.

Speaking in a phone interview with NBC News, Trump said, “If they don’t make a deal, there will be bombing   the likes of which they have never seen before.” He also mentioned that U.S. and Iranian officials are in talks but didn’t provide details.

During his first term as president (2017-2021), Trump pulled the U.S. out of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, which had placed strict limits on Tehran’s nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief. He also reimposed sweeping sanctions, leading Iran to ramp up its uranium enrichment far beyond the agreed limits.

So far, Iran has dismissed Trump’s warning. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that Tehran responded to a letter from Trump   sent through Oman   urging Iran to negotiate a new nuclear deal.

Tensions Over Russia and Ukraine

Trump also voiced his frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin over his criticism of Ukraine’s leader, Volodymyr Zelensky. Putin recently suggested a transitional government for Ukraine, which could push Zelensky out of power. Trump called this move “not going in the right direction.”

He also threatened Russia with heavy tariffs on its oil exports unless it agrees to work toward stopping the war in Ukraine. “If you buy oil from Russia, you can’t do business in the United States. There will be a 25% tariff on all oil, maybe even up to 50%,” Trump warned.

The former president said he plans to speak with Putin again later this week.

‘Fake News’ National Security Leak

Trump also dismissed concerns about a recent security blunder involving The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, who was mistakenly added to a private Signal chat about planned U.S. strikes on Yemen. Calling it “fake news,” Trump said, “I don’t fire people because of fake news and witch hunts.”

While tensions remain high on multiple fronts, it’s clear Trump is positioning himself as a major player in global politics once again.
