Lions Tease Black Jerseys for NFC North Showdown Against Vikings
The Detroit Lions have hinted at wearing their black alternate jerseys for the much-anticipated NFC North title clash against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night. On New Year’s Eve, the Lions’ official X account posted a black Lions logo with a Honolulu Blue outline alongside the caption: “Guess what’s back, back again.”
This game, featuring two 14-2 teams, will decide not only the division champion but also the NFC’s No. 1 seed, granting home-field advantage throughout the playoffs and a first-round bye.
The Lions’ black jerseys, introduced this season after a 16-year hiatus, have already made two appearances:
September 30: Monday Night Football win over the Seahawks.
December 15: High-scoring loss to the Bills.
Kickoff for this high-stakes game at Ford Field is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
Fans are excited to see the return of the sleek black uniforms as the Lions look to make a bold statement on and off the field.
