Lions GM Credits Alabama for Terrion Arnold’s Development
Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold had an impressive rookie season, and while Detroit is thrilled with his progress, GM Brad Holmes is giving credit to Alabama’s coaching staff for his development.
Holmes specifically praised former Alabama defensive backs coach Deshea Townsend, now with the Tennessee Titans, for the work he did in preparing Arnold for the NFL.
“I thought Deshea did a great job with him. And, you know, I expected no different. But, yeah, I got a lot of excitement for Terrion,” Holmes said.
Arnold’s Impact as a Rookie
16 games played (15 starts)
60 combined tackles (47 solo)
A key piece in Detroit’s improving secondary
Holmes and Coach Dan Campbell both see Arnold’s attitude and work ethic as reasons for optimism.
“He’s a very coachable player. He cares, he’s passionate, he’s prideful, so he’s going to do the necessary things,” Holmes added.
With another offseason of growth, Arnold is expected to take another step forward as the Lions push for a Super Bowl run.
