Could Jonah Jackson Make a Return to the Detroit Lions?
The Detroit Lions might have an opportunity to reunite with a familiar face. Jonah Jackson, a former Pro Bowl guard for Detroit, is a potential cap casualty for the Los Angeles Rams, and some believe a return to the Motor City could make sense.
Jackson, a third-round pick in 2020, was a key part of Detroit’s offensive line before leaving for a three-year, $51 million contract with the Rams. However, injuries limited him to just four games in 2024, and now, L.A. could decide to move on.
With Kevin Zeitler heading to free agency, Detroit may need a veteran presence at guard. While they have Christian Mahogany as a potential in-house replacement, he has only two career starts. If Jackson is released, the Lions could consider bringing him back—especially if they can get him at a reasonable price.
