Lions Fans Get First Look at Gibbs, LaPorta, and New Faces in May Workouts

The boys are back — and Lions fans are loving it.

On Thursday, the Detroit Lions gave fans a treat by dropping 25 behind-the-scenes photos from their May 1 offseason workout. It’s the first real look we’ve had at the squad as they gear up for what’s shaping up to be another big year in Detroit.

Familiar Faces, Fresh Energy

Among the stars catching eyes in the photos: Jahmyr Gibbs, looking as electric as ever, and Sam LaPorta, who seems dialed in for a big second year. Jameson Williams was also spotted showing off his blazing speed, while Kerby Joseph looked ready to build on last year’s breakout after leading the league in interceptions.

But it wasn’t just the returning crew turning heads. Fans also got their first glimpse of newcomers Grant Stuard and Rock Ya-Sin in Honolulu Blue — two players expected to bring toughness and energy to the defense.

Locked In on 2025

While the Lions haven’t announced their full training camp schedule yet, fans already have July 31 marked on the calendar for the Hall of Fame Game against the Chargers. Until then, these offseason snapshots offer a peek at a team that’s clearly hungry and focused on making 2025 special.
