Jahmyr Gibbs: The Key to the Lions’ 2025 Offensive Success
Jahmyr Gibbs proved in 2024 that he’s Detroit’s most explosive offensive weapon. Rushing for 1,412 yards and scoring a franchise-record 20 total touchdowns, Gibbs carried the load when David Montgomery was injured late in the season. His dominant Week 18 performance secured the NFC North title, and he shined again in the playoffs despite the Lions’ early exit.
With a new offensive coordinator in John Morton, the Lions should lean on Gibbs even more in 2025. More Gibbs means less pressure on Jared Goff, whose turnovers proved costly. If Detroit wants to make a deeper playoff run, Gibbs must be the focal point.
