Lions Legend Matthew Stafford Speaks on Being a Target for NFL Teams

Matthew Stafford Stays With Rams After Interest From Other Teams
Despite exploring options this offseason, Matthew Stafford has decided to stay with the Los Angeles Rams, restructuring his contract instead of seeking a trade. At 37 years old and entering his 17th NFL season, Stafford was granted permission to gauge interest from other teams, with the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders reportedly among those interested.

On his wife Kelly Stafford’s podcast, he opened up about the process, calling it both challenging and humbling. While the Giants were rumored to have offered a more lucrative deal, Stafford ultimately chose stability in L.A., where the Rams still see him as their leader. With a new contract structure in place, Stafford is set to run it back with the team he led to a Super Bowl victory just three years ago.
