The Detroit Lions made a handful of roster moves official on Friday afternoon, starting with the signing of second-round draft pick Tate Ratledge. The offensive lineman’s deal had already been reported earlier in the week, but the team confirmed it alongside three other additions.

Joining the roster are defensive backs DiCaprio Bootle and Tyson Russell, as well as running back Jabari Small.

Bootle brings some NFL experience with him, having suited up for six games with the Chargers last season. He’s also seen action with the Panthers in 2023 and the Chiefs in both 2021 and 2022.

Russell, meanwhile, enters the league as an undrafted rookie out of Vanderbilt. Small spent time on the Titans’ practice squad last season.

Although the Lions placed several players on PUP and NFI lists Thursday, they didn’t need to clear any roster spots for these signings.
