Terrion Arnold Welcomes DJ Reed to Detroit with Classic Greeting
The Detroit Lions made another move in free agency, signing former New York Jets cornerback DJ Reed to help replace Carlton Davis III, who just signed with the New England Patriots. Davis had been a key piece in Detroit’s secondary before injuries derailed his 2024 season.
Lions rookie Terrion Arnold wasted no time welcoming his new teammate, greeting Reed with the classic Detroit phrase: “What up Doe!!!” The excitement was mutual, as Reed had already posted his own enthusiastic “Detroit!!” message.
This isn’t the only move Arnold has been hyped about—he also celebrated the re-signing of linebacker Derrick Barnes, another key piece of the defense. While some fans were disappointed by the release of Za’Darius Smith, adding Reed gives Kelvin Sheppard’s defense another veteran playmaker in the secondary.
