Lions Unveil Sleek New Locker Room at Performance Center

The Detroit Lions are stepping up their game off the field, giving their players a big reason to smile with a major locker room upgrade at the team’s performance center in Allen Park. The overhaul comes after players gave the old facilities a lackluster C+ grade on the NFLPA’s 2025 report card, ranking it 18th across the league.

The new space now features modern amenities designed to improve comfort and support players who spend countless hours at the facility during the season. While the practice facility got the facelift, there are currently no plans to revamp the locker room at Ford Field.

Team president Rod Wood previously acknowledged the need for upgrades during the NFL’s annual meetings, noting the Lions would invest in improving the locker room, expanding the weight room, and installing new equipment.

Despite past whispers about potentially relocating the facility, Wood confirmed the team is staying put in Allen Park. With its easy access to highways, downtown Detroit, and the airport—not to mention how players and staff have built their lives around the current location—the Lions aren’t planning to move anytime soon.

The team shared a look at the sleek new digs on social media with a playful caption: “New locker room, who this?”
