Meet Jihaad Campbell: A Rising Star in the 2025 Draft Class

Meet the Prospect: Jihaad Campbell, a Do-It-All Linebacker the Lions Could Target
Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard values versatility, and Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell might be the most adaptable defender in the 2025 draft class. The first-team All-SEC standout led the Crimson Tide with 117 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, five sacks, and two forced fumbles in 2024.

Campbell, a former edge rusher turned linebacker, has the speed, range, and physicality to play multiple roles. He graded as an elite pass rusher, run defender, and coverage linebacker, making him an ideal chess piece for an aggressive defense. NFL analysts have him ranked among the top 25 prospects, with Daniel Jeremiah calling him a player whose “best football is ahead of him.” If the Lions are looking to add a dynamic presence to their front seven, Campbell could be a perfect fit.
