Mock Draft Predicts Lions Adding Defensive Lineman with Unique Abilities

Lions Projected to Target Michigan DT Kenneth Grant in Draft
The Detroit Lions are in a strong position heading into the 2025 NFL Draft, allowing them to focus on adding the best available talent rather than filling major roster holes. With that in mind, multiple analysts believe the Lions could look to strengthen their defensive front by selecting Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant.

Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 331 pounds, Grant possesses rare athleticism for his size. With Aidan Hutchinson returning from injury and Alim McNeill recovering from a torn ACL, adding Grant could help solidify the defensive line and give Detroit another disruptive presence up front.

CBS Sports’ Kyle Stackpole notes that Grant’s draft stock remains high despite missing workouts due to a hamstring injury. However, the Lions could also consider reinforcing the offensive line after losing Kevin Zeitler in free agency. Alabama guard Tyler Booker is another potential option, bringing the physicality that fits Detroit’s identity.

With the draft approaching, all eyes are on Brad Holmes to see how he continues shaping the Lions’ championship aspirations.
