The 2025 NFL Draft is scheduled to take place from April 24 to 26 at Lambeau Field and its adjacent Titletown District in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Tennessee Titans hold the first overall pick due to their performance in the 2024 season.
In the lead-up to the draft, several teams are making strategic moves:
New York Giants: In a recent community mock draft, the Giants selected Travis Hunter, a versatile cornerback and wide receiver from Colorado, with the third overall pick. This choice addresses multiple team needs, enhancing both their defense and receiving corps.
Washington Commanders: The team is focusing on bolstering their defense by evaluating edge defenders who can disrupt the quarterback and improve run defense. Prospects like James Pearce Jr. and JT Tuimoloau are among those being considered to strengthen both pass rush and run defense.
Las Vegas Raiders: The Raiders are actively engaging in free agency, with notable moves including negotiating a contract extension for quarterback Geno Smith and exploring the signing of linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley. These efforts aim to enhance their roster ahead of the draft.
Los Angeles Rams: The Rams are reportedly showing interest in tight end prospect Tyler Warren from Penn State, potentially hosting a pre-draft workout for him. This indicates their intent to strengthen their offensive options.
Additionally, the New York Giants have been active in free agency, signing players like defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris and cornerback Paulson Adebo to bolster their defense.
As the draft approaches, teams continue to assess their needs and strategize to make impactful selections that will shape their rosters for the upcoming season.
