Aaron Rodgers recently visited the Pittsburgh Steelers, and new details about his take on the team have come to light, courtesy of his former Green Bay teammate, AJ Hawk. According to Hawk, Rodgers really likes the entire Pittsburgh staff from the front office to the people involved. He’s all about what the Steelers represent and how their organization is run. Hawk said that Rodgers “loves everybody in that Pittsburgh Steelers building.”
Pat McAfee, during the same episode, agreed, adding that the Steelers’ tradition, lore, and the city itself all contribute to why Rodgers would have a strong interest in them. McAfee also threw out the possibility that Rodgers could wait until after the 2025 NFL Draft to make his final decision on where he’ll play.
Despite being 41 and coming off a torn Achilles, Rodgers’ options are limited. In the 2024 season, he threw for less than 4,000 yards, which is unusual for a guy who’s usually over that threshold. Though he’s a future Hall of Famer, teams are a little hesitant to sign him at this stage of his career.
The Steelers are still looking for a quarterback, and after Rodgers’ visit, it seems that the feelings are mutual. Hawk’s comments suggest that Rodgers is interested in Pittsburgh, and the Steelers might feel the same way.
