Giants’ QB Room Might Get Even Crazier
The New York Giants have already spent a good chunk of cash on their quarterbacks for 2025, but they might not be done just yet.
They’ve already committed $8 million over two seasons to Jameis Winston and up to $21 million for Russell Wilson (depending on incentives). But now, there’s talk that they could still draft a top QB Prospect possibly Shedeur Sanders from Colorado.
Could Shedeur Sanders Join the Mix?
Despite bringing in Wilson and Winston, neither one is really seen as the Giants’ long-term answer at quarterback. That’s why some believe they might take Sanders with the No. 3 pick in the draft.
According to a Pro Football Focus mock draft, the Giants could draft Sanders and keep all three QBs on the roster, letting him develop before taking over. If Sanders proves himself early, Winston could even become a trade chip for teams in need of a backup.
Sanders is coming off a fantastic season where he threw for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. His talent is undeniable, but stacking three big-name quarterbacks in one room? That could be a recipe for chaos.
One NFC executive put it bluntly: “I can’t imagine they’ll handle it well… it’s a lot.”
If the Giants do go this route, head coach Brian Daboll and GM Joe Schoen will have their hands full managing all those egos. It’s a situation worth keeping an eye on, especially with the draft just around the corner.
