New York Giants + Shedeur Sanders = True Love or Just Talk

There’s a lot of buzz around the New York Giants and their potential pick at No. 3 in the 2025 NFL Draft. ESPN’s Matt Miller reported that the Giants are all-in on Shedeur Sanders, calling it “the worst-kept secret in the league.” Another analyst, Jordan Reid, added that finding a young QB is at the top of the team’s priority list.

That much seems true—the Giants clearly want a quarterback. But will it be Sanders? That’s still up in the air.

Yes, the Giants have been keeping close tabs on him since last fall. But just because they’ve shown interest doesn’t mean they’re locked in. Need a reminder? Look at what happened last year. The Giants were all over J.J. McCarthy during the 2024 draft process—tons of meetings, private workouts, mock drafts predicting they’d take him. But when draft night came? They picked Malik Nabers instead, while McCarthy ended up in Minnesota.

History could repeat itself.

Right now, it’s too soon to say with certainty what the Giants will do. Sanders hasn’t even had his Colorado Pro Day, his official visit with the Giants, or a private workout with the team. Until then, anyone claiming to know the Giants’ exact plan is just blowing smoke.

Maybe they take Sanders. Maybe they don’t. But one thing’s for sure—nothing is set in stone yet.
