Rival GM: Jared Goff Poised for Another MVP-Caliber Season
Jared Goff had a career-best 2024 season, throwing for over 4,600 yards, a career-high 37 touchdowns, and an NFL-best 72.4% completion rate. He finished fifth in MVP voting, proving he’s one of the league’s top pocket passers.
Now, an anonymous NFC general manager expects Goff to stay in the MVP race in 2025, telling SI.com’s John Maakaron:
“Jared is a quarterback that has shown he can rebound time and time again from a bad performance.”
While Goff’s playoff struggles against Washington raised some concerns, the GM believes Detroit’s QB is primed to build on his success, even with new offensive coordinator John Morton taking over for Ben Johnson.
Do you think Goff will take another leap in 2025, or will the OC change slow him down?
