NFL Draft Prediction: Giants Add Abdul Carter & ‘Electric’ QB

The New York Giants are reportedly considering drafting Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. While many assumed they’d go for a quarterback—especially Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders—recent reports suggest they may prioritize an impact playmaker instead.

Giants insider Art Stapleton believes Carter could be their guy, citing his raw talent and potential to develop into an elite pass rusher, much like Micah Parsons. The team has already met with him privately, adding fuel to the speculation.

In Round 2, Stapleton suggests the Giants take a swing on Alabama QB Jalen Milroe. While he’s known for his explosive playmaking ability, questions remain about his passing skills. The idea would be to let him develop behind Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, much like Jalen Hurts did in Philadelphia.

Of course, all of this depends on how much time head coach Brian Daboll has. If the Giants struggle again in 2025, he may not be around to see Milroe’s development through.
